What is the Summit County Utah Mental Wellness Alliance?

The Summit County Utah Mental Wellness Alliance is a collaborative initiative committed to enhancing mental health and well-being in Summit County. The Alliance brings together community organizations, local leaders, healthcare providers, schools, donors, employers and individuals to address mental health challenges, raise awareness, and provide crucial resources for those in need.

What Does the Alliance Mean to the Community?

The Alliance represents a unified effort to create a supportive, inclusive environment where mental health is prioritized. For the community, it means access to valuable resources, programs, and services that promote mental well-being. It also serves as a network of support for providers equipping them with the resources they need to meet the needs in our community. Through this collective action, the Alliance fosters hope, connection, transparency and understanding, bringing the community closer together in support of mental wellness.

Meet Anna Frachou, Director of the Mental Wellness Alliance

Anna Frachou is a dynamic strategic leader with over 20 years of experience across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Within the last 14 years Anna Frachou has worked across the healthcare sector for companies like Amerigroup Louisiana, Aetna, University of Utah Health and CHG Healthcare. Mrs. Frachou has a wealth of knowledge in strategy, nonprofit management, community outreach and organizational growth. Her consulting experience spans notable organizations such as Miami Dade College, The Lab Miami, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, Ontic Partners, and The Center for Leadership Innovation.

Anna’s leadership has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the NFL’s Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award. Personally, she is passionate about building capacity and prosperous communities so that everyone can live a dignified life. Mrs. Frachou currently serves on the board of Art’s Council, Accountable Impact, and SLC SHRM. Anna holds two master’s degrees—one in International Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, and another in Latin American Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
