• Those not living in Summit County were only eligible to be vaccinated here if they are school district staff, first responders, or healthcare providers working in Summit County. This was state-wide policy based on Phase 1 priority groups determined by the Governor. These individuals provide critical infrastructure services.
  • On Jan. 29, 2021, Summit County closed enrollment for Phase 1 groups to focus resources exclusively on the 70+ population.
  • Beginning with the 70+ population and continuing forward, only people living in Summit County will be eligible to receive their vaccine in Summit County.
  • As of Feb 2, 2021, a total of 3100 first doses have been delivered to Summit County Health Department (SCHD). Of those, 2431 have been administered.  The remaining 669 first doses will be administered within 7 days of delivery.
  • All first doses received are administered within 7 days of delivery. There are currently, 1467 future appointments scheduled.
  • As of Feb 2nd, 2021, an additional 2867 people living in Summit County have been vaccinated by providers other than the SCHD. These include the Intermountain Park City Hospital and Local Health Departments in other counties.
  • Approximately 474 doses have been administered by the SCHD to people working in Summit County but not living here. More than four times this number of people living in Summit County have been vaccinated in other counties (2,255).
  • Administration of second doses has begun and is primarily being provided by Intermountain Park City Hospital at this time. A total of 1200 second doses have been received. • Appointment invitations have been sent to more than 700 individuals in the 70+ group. We anticipate sending appointments to over 1000 in the next week. The order of vaccination within the 70+ population has been determined by risk and date of pre-registration. Those with co-existing/underlying conditions have been prioritized.

Based on the approximate average of 700 doses we currently receive each week from the state:

  • Vaccine appointments will be released by mid-February to all individuals who are 70+ and have underlying health conditions.
  • Appointments will open to the rest of the 70+ group in late February.
  • These dates are approximate. They may be extended if fewer vaccines are received or accelerated if more vaccines are received.
