• The Summit County COVID-19 Hotline will be closed Monday, February 15 for President’s Day
  • As of Feb 9, 2021, a total of 4,100 first doses have been delivered to the Summit County Health Department (SCHD). Of those, 3,431 have been administered. The remaining 660 first doses will be administered within 7 days of delivery.
    • Nine doses have been wasted due to faults in syringes shipped with the doses
  • All first doses received are administered within 7 days of delivery. There are currently 2,178 future appointments scheduled.
  • As of Feb 9th, 2021, an additional 3,554 people living in Summit County have been vaccinated by providers other than the SCHD. These include the Intermountain Park City Hospital and local health departments in other counties.
  • Approximately 576 doses have been administered by the SCHD to people working in Summit County but not living here. More than six times this number of people living in Summit County have been vaccinated in other counties (3,554).
    • Those not living in Summit County were only eligible to be vaccinated here if they are school district staff, first responders, or healthcare providers working in Summit County. This was state-wide policy based on Phase 1 priority groups determined by the Governor. These individuals provide critical infrastructure services.
    • On Jan. 29, 2021, Summit County closed enrollment for Phase 1 groups to focus resources exclusively on the 70+ population.
    • Beginning with the 70+ population and continuing forward, only people living in Summit County will be eligible to receive their vaccine in Summit County.
  • Administration of second doses has begun and is primarily being provided by Intermountain Park City Hospital at this time. A total of 1,200 second doses have been received. Those doses are, at times, not administered within 7 days if they are received more than 7 days before the 28-day threshold for second dose.
  • Beginning March 2, 2021, all second doses will be administered by the SCHD.
  • Utah is fourth in the nation in the proportion of vaccines received that have been administered.
  • Among the 13 Utah Health Districts, Summit County is top three in the number of vaccines given per capita. We are only limited by the number of vaccines we receive.
  • Based on 2018 Census data, there are an estimated 3,500 individuals living in Summit County who are 70 or older. As of February 9, a total of 1,325 people living in Summit County age 70 and over have received their first dose.
  • Appointment invitations have gone out to every 70+ individual who pre-registered with the health department by phone or on the website. Everyone age 70+ who pre-registered with the Summit County Health Department should be able to schedule appointments by next week.

  • At this time the majority of appointments are currently booked out through mid-to late-March.
