The Summit County Health Department is issuing a 30-day formal notice and comment period during which the public can review the proposed Launch of a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Sanitation Program along with the Fees for permitting and operating a Microenterprise Home Kitchen.  Please submit comments to the Health Department in writing either by email, mail, or in person at the February 7, 2022, Board of Health Meeting.

Summit County is creating a program to regulate the requirements outlined in R392-106: Microenterprise Home Kitchen Sanitation as required by Utah House Bill 94. R392-106 was codified on November 8, 2021 and requires that all local health districts permit and regulate food safety in these new kitchen settings. Summit County is proposing an annual permit fee, plan review fee and a complaint investigation fee.

At this time, the Board is seeking comments regarding the proposed additional fees to the Health Department regulatory fee schedule.
