Directions: Start with the first ingredient and then add other options or come up with your family’s favorites!


  1. Favorite greens– red leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, spinach
  2. Protein: leftover grilled chicken, black beans, cheese
  3. Fruit: sliced apples or berries
  4. Dressing: choose a drizzle of your family favorite or try making easy vinaigrette by mixing 3 Tbs. olive oil, 2 Tbs. white vinegar, 1 tsp. Dijon mustard, 1-3 tsp. honey, and salt & pepper to taste



  1. Whole grain shell
  2. Spread: avocado, honey mustard, hummus
  3. Protein: turkey, ham, chicken, tuna, egg, cheese
  4. Vegetables: lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers


Pasta Cups

  1. Favorite pasta (great chance to incorporate whole grain)
  2. Meat: chicken, shrimp, tuna
  3. Dressing: olive oil, light Italian dressing
  4. Toppings: mini mozzarella cheese balls, shredded parmesan cheese, cherry tomatoes



  1. Whole wheat bread
  2. Protein: peanut butter with banana slices, boiled egg, cheese, ham, tuna, turkey
  3. Pair with healthy side dishes: apple slices, carrot & celery sticks, olives, dried fruit
