Front Line & Blue Line – Parents and Police Working Together
December 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm| Free
The North Summit School District and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognize and support parents and guardians as the front lines of defense. The threats and dangers in our society are constant and rapidly evolving. As your school district, and local law enforcement agencies, we are united in keeping children safe and protecting the sanctity of the family and the home. Join us and let’s all work together for our youth.
The second annual Front Line Blue Line event returns to North Summit School District featuring all-new speakers:
Katey McPherson – The Gurian Institute
Katey will share the latest trends on social media, phone apps, and internet safety. She will discuss how electronic addiction affects the mental health of our youth.
Lieutenant Justin Hemingway – Summit County Sheriff’s Office
Lieutenant Hemingway will discuss the importance of having community strength and keeping the “front line” (parents) strong. He will also discuss how to prepare for “That Moment” (if your child is involved in a law enforcement investigation).
A resource fair will follow the presentations.
