Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness: Park City Support Group
May 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Monday, repeating until July 23, 2018
Please attend a new FREE support group for family members who have a loved one struggling with alcohol & substance abuse (as well as mental health issues) in Park City.
It’s run through USARA (Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness) and is called CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), based on the book, Get Your Loved One Sober by Robert J. Meyers, Ph.D., and Brenda L. Wolfe, Ph.D. Group members are given the book & workbook for discussion topics. People can attend anytime and review any discussion topics that they might have missed.
DISCUSSION TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
– Motivation: Setting positive goals
– Discussion of Family Dynamics: Identifying triggers and motivators
– Communication Training: Developing positive communication techniques
– Helping the loved one enter treatment services and engage in recovery –
discussion of effective methods and available resources.
Meetings are held each Monday from 6:00-7:30 PM at Valley Behavioral Health, 1753 Sidewinder Drive, #200, Park City, UT 84060.
